Ky-Mani was born on February 26, 1976, at Falmouth Jamaica. He is one of the wealthiest and famous Reggae singers. Shottas was one of the most acclaimed films that featured him with another vocalist Wyclef. Ky-Mani signed with Shang Records and recorded his 1996 debut album like Father Like Son. This was followed by several singles, including Dear Dad, which topped British Reggae Charts. Who The Cap suited (remix) as well as Sensimelia. These all helped to establish Ky-Mani's status as a new reggae musician. Ky-Mani collaborated with Praswell from Fugees for Avenue in 1997.
